Unlike typical frothy-y cleansers, Properly Clean gains its soft, delightfully cloud-like texture from its pump mechanism—instead of skin-irritating, foaming ingredients. This makes Properly Clean soft enough for mature skin, gentle enough for breakout-y skin, nourishing enough if you sit more on the dry side, and balanced enough if you identify as oily.

Properly Clean’s got a pH of 5.6–6.0 and is a solid 10 all round. (More like a 12 now that it’s got its very own refill pouch. By reusing your bottle, pump and cap, you have reduced the amount of plastic going to landfill by 80%.)

How Do I Use It?

Using warm soapy water, give your existing Properly Clean bottle and pump a real thorough do-over. Rinse and dry completely before topping up with this very useful refill. Et voilà! Good as new! Don’t be lazy and try to cleanse your face by pouring straight from the pouch. We can see it now. Suds and sadness everywhere.

    Cleanliness is next to omigoshness
